Due to its continued growth, Spring Valley, an innovative manufacturer of supreme-quality fertilizers and ice melters  is looking for a career-oriented Purchasing Manager to lead the purchasing efforts at our Jackson, Wisconsin and Ohio locations.

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

 

·         5 or more years progressive experience in purchasing & sourcing with broad experience in the  manufacturing industry

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all areas of the organization 

·         Ability to negotiate with vendors while maintaining a positive relationship

·         Self-directed, with the ability to work with minimal supervision

·         Analytical and pays attention to detail

·         Demonstrated organizational and planning capabilities

·         Able to understand use various purchasing reports

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines

·         Ability to identify processes needing improvement, and to recommend improvements

·         Chemical knowledge, preferably in agricultural products or other blending environment is a plus but is not required

This is a full-time position located in Jackson, Wisconsin.   Occasional travel to will be required.
