Company Grows "Green"

Spring Valley Breaks Ground for New Office Building

Jackson, WI- Spring Valley, a national manufacturer and distributor of Professional Fertilizers and Ice Melter, held a groundbreaking ceremony on November 19, 2008 for their new office building in Jackson, WI.

"This will truly be a World Headquarters," stated company CEO, Bill Vogel. "Our high standard of customer service will only be improved upon with all of our employees centrally located in a brand new building we can be proud to work in. We are excited about the concept of building ‘green’ and maintaining a higher level of responsibility to our environment."

The concept of "green" building, otherwise called sustainable building, has become a major focus of the project. Many energy efficient features will be incorporated such as a "daylighting" system which uses skylights to maximize use of outdoor lighting and limits energy consumption, a high efficiency heating system, and renewable building products such as carpeting that can be recycled rather than sent to a landfill when it is worn.

The new building will also have a state of the art conference room as well as a reception area to better meet the needs of our customers as our business grows.

Spring Valley currently has facilities in both Jackson, WI and Fostoria, OH. The plants have roughly the same levels of production servicing the entire U.S. market as well as markets in Europe, Asia, and the Pacific Rim.

"Growth has been steady in recent years," said Spring Valley President Randy Vogel. "We need a bigger and better facility. It is time."
